I recently hacked up some tools and a process for using Gimp to make and print a zine as part of a (currently unreleased) project.

I documented the process over here, and have the script for doing the imposition available for download. Getting things set up initially was a little confusing and involved quite a fair amount of searching, trying, failing, and iterating...but now that things are mostly working, hopefully others can benefit from this work.

I enjoyed the process tho, and hope to save some effort when I revisit this again in the future.

And yeah, maybe Gimp isn't the best tool for this kind of thing. What's good for doing multi-page layout and imposition on Linux? Probably nothing?
